Living for God the way He ask us to is a very exciting and rewarding life to those whom do the Word of God not just hear.
Jesus Christ is the only way to true Peace and eternal life, no other.
The real story.
We are all born into a world of darkness, born into a world filled with sin(darkness). We all have a sinful nature when born.
Father God created everything and is so holy (filled with Light) He will not look upon darkness (wickedness).
God created us to have fellowship with Him and Loves us more than you can imagine but because of our wickedness we are separated from Him. In comes Jesus, His only Son Whom God sent to be a perfect sacrifice(payment) for our sin. The Blood of Jesus Christ was shed on the Cross to remove our separation from God.
God gives us a choice to accept the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the payment of our sins and have an eternal home in Heaven with Him. Or we can choose to reject His selfless Sacrifice and live for ourselves and let our pride separate us for God for all eternity in areal place called hell. A place where people go whom dwell in darkness and refuse the sacrifice made for them.
The more darkness you allow into your life the more it controls you as you get it permission to work in your life and in a sense control you and the more suffering you have in life and ultimately for all eternity.
The more one yields to Christ the more Peace, Joy, and Happiness one will have in this life and for all eternity.
So how exactly do I get to Heaven?
John 3:16 King James Version (KJV) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
By asking Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior.
Believing in the sacrifice that was made for you.
Confessing you are a sinner(one in darkness) and recognize according to the Word of God you are a sinner and need a Savior.
Most importantly Repent of your sin (darkness).
This means to turn from your wickedness and stop doing the things your doing that is against the Word of God.
Acts 3:19 King James Version (KJV)
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
You don't have to change your whole life style right away, the more you focus on Christ the more He will change your heart to desire the things of God.
After you get saved you need to be Baptized!
The most important thing to be aware of and do after being saved is to be led by the Holy Spirit!
This is what makes a huge difference in ones walk with Christ which is what many are missing out on and makes ones life filled with Peace, Joy, and a very exciting life in God's favor and blessings.
